Planning

Archispec's Planning feature helps you manage a project visually, clearly, and collaboratively. At a glance, you see current tasks, upcoming ones, and dependencies between them.

Access planning

  1. Open your project
  2. Click the Planning tab

Planning must be enabled for your agency. If the tab doesn't appear, contact your agency administrator.

Create a task

  1. In the Planning tab, click the + button at the top left of the timeline
  2. Fill in the information:
    • Trade or custom title
    • Start date and end date
    • Progress (percentage)
  3. Confirm creation

Read the planning view

Each row represents a task, with:

  • Its period (start date → end date)
  • Its progress level
  • Any dependencies

You can switch between:

  • Week view for detailed tracking
  • Month view for a broader overview
  • Click a task name to jump directly to its start date
  • The planning view automatically centers around today's date on load

Edit a task

  1. Click a task block to open the edit panel
  2. Edit the desired fields:
    • Title
    • Start date and duration
    • Progress
    • Dependencies
    • Client visibility

Manage dependencies

When a task depends on another, link them in the edit panel. An arrow appears between tasks to visualize the relationship.

If you move the parent task, you immediately see the impact on the rest of the planning.

Share planning with the client

  1. In the Planning tab, enable global client sharing
  2. The client sees tasks marked as visible in their space

You can also control visibility task by task via the edit panel.
